The stage is set, and the spotlight is bright for the DStv Content Creator Awards 2024. The DStv Content Creator Awards is thrilled to announce that entries across all categories are now open, ready to honour the creative talents who are reshaping the content landscape.

This year is about storytelling in all its forms. It’s about the narrative, the stories, and, most importantly, the unique points of view of each content creator. It’s about celebrating the creator’s own perspective – the unfiltered, original POV of content creation that brings stories to life.

What’s New in 2024?
The DStv Content Creator Awards is shaking things up! This year will focus more on celebrating the content creators themselves rather than individual pieces of content. New categories have been introduced to echo the evolving nature of content and its creators because, in the world of digital storytelling, IYKYK.

“Becoming Karl Lagerfeld” on Disney+ from 7 June 2024

Disney+ announced at the Canneseries Festival press conference in France, the highly anticipated 6-episode Original drama series “Becoming Karl Lagerfeld” (previously “Kaiser Karl”), produced by Gaumont and Jour Premier, will premiere all episodes on 7 June, 2024, exclusively on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu in the U.S. The streaming service has also released the official first look images and the teaser trailer and poster, viewable below:

In 1972, Karl Lagerfeld (Daniel Brühl) is 38 and not yet wearing his iconic hairstyle. He is a ready-to-wear designer, unknown to the public. While he meets and falls in love with the sultry Jacques de Bascher (Théodore Pellerin), an ambitious and troubling young dandy, the most mysterious of fashion designers dares to take on his friend (and rival) Yves Saint Laurent (Arnaud Valois), a genius of haute couture backed by the redoubtable businessman Pierre Bergé (Alex Lutz).

Plans Announced for Singularity Summit 2024

‘Monsters At Work’ Premieres on Disney Channel Across Africa

The highly anticipated animated series “Monsters at Work” premiered across Africa on Disney Channel, DStv Channel 303, today, Monday 25 March.

“Monsters At Work” takes place the day after the Monsters, Incorporated power plant started harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis, thanks to Mike and Sulley’s discovery that laughter generates ten times more energy than screams. It follows the story of Tylor Tuskmon, an eager young monster who graduated top of his class at Monsters University and always dreamed of becoming a Scarer until he lands a job at Monsters, Incorporated, and discovers that scaring is out and laughter is in. After Tylor is temporarily reassigned to the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team (MIFT), he must work alongside a misfit bunch of mechanics while setting his sights on becoming a Jokester.
