What happens when seven well-known South African personalities, “The Sparkly Besties” decide on a Girls Trip together? Over the month of August, South Africa will get a taste of the drama that ensues when the Besties come together to plan their epic Girls Trip. After all, not all plans made in the girls’ WhatsApp chat make it out of the chat – successfully.

The all-new six-part web-series #momentstomeltinto – The Girls Trip is produced by renowned filmmakers, Nelisiwe Mwase and Ofentswe Mwase of Ofentse Mwase Films. This is NESTLÉ AERO’s new #momentstomeltinto campaign, which celebrates the sisterhood that exists within women. The Sparkly Besties is made up of YouTube comedy sensation Nelisiwe Mwase, professional make-up artist Bridget Mahlangu, Radio jock and presenter Mantsoe “Pout’ Tsatsi, South Africa’s first bachelorette Qiniso van Damme, TV presenter Stephanie Ndlovu, well-respected fashion blogger Zama Marubelela as well as award winning songstress Holly Rey. It is made up of MOMENTS of chaos during planning, including budget discussions, disagreements on itineraries, outfit choices, as well as shedding light into what goes on behind the scenes.

“Only Murders in the Building” Season 3 on Disney+

The much anticipated third season of “Only Murders in the Building” (the Emmy®-nominated series) premieres on 8 August 2023 with two episodes, only on Disney+ in South Africa.

From the minds of Steve Martin, Dan Fogelman and John Hoffman comes a comedic murder-mystery series for the ages. “Only Murders in the Building” follows three strangers who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, the three unravel the complex secrets of the building which stretch back years. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell one another. Soon, the endangered trio comes to realize a killer might be living amongst them as they race to decipher the mounting clues before it’s too late.

Leading local show promoter and producer, Showtime Management, is bringing iconic author and creator of Sex and The City, Candace Bushnell, to South Africa in her acclaimed one-woman show “True Tales of Sex, Success and Sex in the City” for four special performances in both Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Starting at Montecasino’s Teatro on Friday, 22 September at 8pm followed by weekend performances on  Saturday 23 September at 3pm & 8pm and Sunday 24 September at 3 pm; thereafter the show then moves to Artscape Theatre Centre for four shows beginning on Friday 29 September at 8pm; Saturday to 30 September at 3pm and 8pm ending on Sunday 01 October at 3pm. Celebrity Prank Wars on E! Africa

Kevin Hart and Nick Cannon take their famous friendly feud to the next level with E!’s hilarious new competition series Celebrity Prank Wars, premiering 2 July at 19:05 SAST on E! Africa (DStv channel 124).

It’s an all-out war as one celebrity pranks another, and the payback begins. Each episode will feature celebrities planning and perpetrating some of the wildest and most viral pranks on each other, as hosts Nick Cannon and Kevin Hart choose one winner of the Prank War. E! Africa’s “Celebrity Game Night” comes to Universal+ this April

Entertainment Television (NBCUniversal International Networks & Direct-To-Consumer’s global, multi-platform brand dedicated to all things pop culture) has announced the launch date and star-studded lineup for the highly-anticipated return of its original production in Africa: Celebrity Game Night. The fourth installment of the SAFTA award-winning series will be available on Universal+ immediately after airing weekly on E! Africa (DStv channel 124) from Sunday, 23 April 2023 at 19:00 CAT.

Based on the Primetime Emmy Award-winning series Hollywood Game Night, Anele Mdoda returns to host Africa’s biggest games night with 10 one-hour episodes promising uncontrollable laughter and non-stop hilarity.
