Kings and Queens of Comedy

In medieval times, a jester was employed by a nobleman or monarch to entertain him and his guests.  The heavyweights of South African comedy are by no means jesters, but they certainly do entertain… Catch the Kings & Queens of Comedy at the Sandton Convention Centre on Friday, 21 July for a show of hysterical proportions.

Shining their comical armour and sharpening their witty swords for the night, the stellar line-up of comedy giants includes Joey Rasdien (MC), Khanyisa Bunu, Krijay Govender, Mark Banks, Mpho Popps, Muthu Murugan, Ndumiso Lindi, Rob van Vuuren, Tracey-Lee Oliver, Trevor Gumbi and Tumi Morake.

A Magical Media Night with Mo Magic

website

I first heard about Mo Magic when my husband was working on a show called “Holiday Swap” about 3 years ago, and Mo was a contestant. I was told about his “mind magic tricks” and spoon bending, so I was well intrigued when I got an invite to the media launch, which we attended last night. We all need a bit of magical delight in our lives, now and again, so this was welcomed.

Kevin Hart Takes South Africa in March

Kevin HartI am a fan of Real Husbands of Hollywood, a show that can best be described as a mockumentary & parody of similar titles in the “reality” genre. It features Kevin Hart in the lead, playing a version of himself, together with his best friends in Tinsel Town, all hustling their way to the top of the entertainment food chain, with Kevin’s character always trying to one-up his friends, which lead to the creation of the term “mitch” (male b$%*h).
