Celebrity Prank Wars on E! Africa

Kevin Hart and Nick Cannon take their famous friendly feud to the next level with E!’s hilarious new competition series Celebrity Prank Wars, premiering 2 July at 19:05 SAST on E! Africa (DStv channel 124).

It’s an all-out war as one celebrity pranks another, and the payback begins. Each episode will feature celebrities planning and perpetrating some of the wildest and most viral pranks on each other, as hosts Nick Cannon and Kevin Hart choose one winner of the Prank War. Celebrities are always trying to up the ante as each prank is more elaborate than the next – all of them with unexpected twists, embarrassing situations and shocking reveals. Celebrities would be smart to stay on high alert with these pranksters in town!

Celebrity participants include: Anthony Anderson, Brie Garcia, Nikki Garcia, Lil Duval, Big E, Fantasia, Tiffany Haddish, Taraji P. Henson, Lil Jon, Kofi Kingston, Ludacris, Joel McHale, Killer Mike, Chance The Rapper, T-Pain, Robin Thicke, T.I. and Xavier Woods.

SA’s iconic youth radio station Y, the plug to all things young, fresh and on trend, is set to shake up Youth Month with the launch of its exciting new platform called GRYND.

As an innovative outlet for play and exploration, GRYND, is a conference created to help young people face the current economic challenges head on, by enabling the conversation of multiple income streams and advising how to creatively upscale ‘side hustles’ through various digital platforms.

With a series of high-impact masterclasses and panel discussions, the June 24th gathering at Atlas Studios promises to be the ultimate ‘meetup’ experience for young people to both share and acquire knowledge from each other and to spark meaningful conversations around entrepreneurship in a digital age through the lens of successful and creative young professionals, culture narrators and social media leaders.

It’s time to put your best piece of content or platform forward for the chance to be crowned a winner and follow in the pioneering footsteps of the likes of Nadia Jaftha, Donovan Goliath, Lemii Loco, Coconut Kelz, Siv Ngesi, Rudi Smit, Kim Jayde and the other 2022 winners.

Every year, the awards aim to evolve and introduce new elements. This year will see big changes across the categories, with several new awards being introduced, while some of the favourites return.

HOT 102.7FM to Honour Legacy of Mark Pilgrim at ‘Pilgrimage’ Party

I worked with the late Mark Pilgrim during my film and TV industry years. He was our presenter on “Power of 10” and I also produced a live corporate TV show for a large bank, where Mark was the presenter. I will always remember his professionalism as well as his warm, happy and friendly demeanour. He was quick with a joke and being the technology fundi that he was, he was always ready to help if we were challenged with technical difficulties. He is sorely missed on the airwaves and in our hearts.

HOT 102.7FM will pay tribute to this renowned broadcaster, Mark Pilgrim, and honour his legacy by hosting the ‘Pilgrimage’ Party at The Sound Room in Kyalami on Saturday the 10th of June 2023.

The event aims to celebrate the life of one of HOT 102.7FM’s most respected and loved presenters and provide listeners with the opportunity to pay their respects to the man many knew simply as ‘Baldy’, while raising money for one of Pilgrim’s favourite charities – the Reach for a Dream Foundation.

Pilgrim died in March this year at the age of 53 after a battle with cancer, but left his mark on the radio industry – in the hearts and minds of both its members and listeners. It was therefore no surprise that tickets to the Pilgrimage Party sold out in less than 48 hours.
