It’s a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and wildlife through the lens of South Africa’s finest photographers.

The exhibition is on from Friday, 5 April from 09h00 – 15h00 and Saturday, 6 April, from 09h00 – 12h00 at Orms Showroom, 56 Roeland St, Cape Town City Centre and there is no entrance fee.

How to watch Live From E!: The Oscars, airing tonight on E!

The most groundbreaking achievements in filmmaking and acting were celebrated this weekend at the 2024 Academy Awards. E!’s Live From E!: The Oscars, hosted by Laverne Cox, presented the most glamorous red carpet show of the 2024 award season.

If you missed the live broadcast, The 2024 Live From E!: The Oscars will air tonight on Monday 11 March at 17:00 and 23:00 (CAT) on E! (DStv 124).

Laverne Cox was joined by panelists Zanna Roberts Rassi, Zuri Hall, comedian Heather McMahan and designer Christian Siriano to offer commentary as the stars arrived, while movie expert Keltie Knight and E!’s Tiffany Smith gave fans a one-of-a-kind look at the red carpet from the rooftop at Ripley’s on Hollywood Boulevard.

This past year’s blockbuster films and their featured stars will be front and center during Live From E!: Oscars red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, with special moments for fans everywhere.

The most nominated movie of the night was Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, which was up for 13 awards, including nods for its stars Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt and Robert Downey Jr, and won 7 awards, including Best Picture. Meanwhile, Barbie, the highest-grossing film of 2023, earned eight nominations, with Ryan Gosling and America Ferrera each being recognized for their stellar performances, and won 1 award (Best Song).

Acting icons that attended the awards included Jennifer Lawrence, Matthew McConaughey, Lupita Nyong’o, Michelle Yeoh, Dwayne Johnson, Zendaya and Nicolas Cage.

On February 9, TikTok honoured the region’s most outstanding content creators at the 2023 Top Creator Awards, powered by Vodacom NXT LVL. Held at Vodacom World, Johannesburg, this gala event celebrated TikTok’s vibrant community’s creativity, innovation, and dedication across Sub-Saharan Africa.

The awards ceremony not only spotlighted exceptional content across various categories but also emphasised TikTok’s commitment to empowering creators. By offering resources and monetisation opportunities, the platform is pivotal in enabling creators to pursue their passions sustainably.

Bianca Sibiya, TikTok’s Head of Content Operations in Sub-Saharan Africa, shared that the awards are designed to inspire, guide, and empower the next generation of talent. “The #TopCreator2023 awards give us an opportunity to recognise and celebrate our talented content creators from across the continent. We’re incredibly proud and inspired by these creators, who significantly impact their communities through innovative, engaging and captivating content. Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa’s (Zeitz MOCAA’s) highly anticipated Gala event is set to feature exclusive performances from South African Singer Songwriter Simphiwe Dana as well as Nobuhle Ashtani Trio. The museum recently announced a collaboration with acclaimed South African artist Athi-Patra Ruga ahead of its highly anticipated Gala event taking place on Sunday, 11 February 2024. The event promises to be an extraordinary celebration of art kicking off Cape Town Art Week that rolls out with Investec Cape Town Art Fair and multiple artistic activations around the city. This event will feature an Exclusive Auction from a line-up of revered artists raising funds to support the museum’s curatorial and education programming.
