Dressed To Give – Charity Fashion Show

In what has been dubbed as the “fashion event of the year,” Luminance has partnered with WIZO and the Lupus Foundation to ensure that you are “Dressed to Give”’ for charity on Sunday, 26 March 2017, at The Reserve in Illovo, Johannesburg. Be sure not to miss out on the ultimate fashion experience produced by industry legend Jan Malan, including outstanding artists such as Laurie Levine, Louise Carver and DJ Kimmy K. 

There will be complimentary cocktails from Grey Goose, and gorgeous models touting the latest wares of renowned international and local designers for men and women. You will also get exclusive views of major designs right off  the catwalks of Cape Town Fashion Week.

LUMINANCE is a South African luxury multi-brand chain of stores which offer a world class shopping experience with an African appeal that inspires its customers to Live Life Beautifully. Funds raised from the LUMINANCE Fashion Show will benefit women and children at risk, as well as the LUPUS FOUNDATION SA.

Katleho Sinivasan becomes the first ever E! South Africa Host

E! Entertainment Television (DStv channel 124), NBCUniversal International Network’s pop culture channel, announced Katleho Sinivasan as the winner of the reality competition series The Search: E! Host South Africa and the new E! South Africa host. The winner was revealed in the last episode of the six-part series and live at an exclusive event in Johannesburg on March 8, whose attendees included South Africa’s biggest names in the entertainment industry.

I bought my very first copy of Cosmopolitan (South Africa) magazine in 1990. In fact, I still have the copy somewhere, and I’ve been a dedicated “Fun, Fearless Female” ever since.

So I was “over the moon” when I found out that the new reality show, “So Cosmo” will be on E! Entertainment very soon. The 20 minute preview special is currently on the DSTV loop, having started on 1 March.

adidas launches UltraBoost X

For the past year, I’ve taken up sports walking (I’m still getting to the running part). This was after an awful 2016, which involved multiple stints in hospital following a blood clot which went to my lungs, becoming a pulmonary embolism. I now have to wear a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) sock daily on my left leg, for the rest of my life!

Anyway, my doctor says that walking is a good way to circulate blood to my legs, hence the daily walking, where I wear my adidas running shoes.

Recently, adidas Running introduced the latest version of its iconic UltraBOOST shoe at the home of adidas Runners, Runbase in Johannesburg.
