It’s not everyday that an independent nail bar / beauty salon opens up, especially when it opens in a location that is not a mall or shopping centre. But this is the case with the newly opened luxury beauty salon called Studio MoMa. It is situated in the BDO Building in Parktown, Johannesburg. I was treated to a manicure and a chance to see what else the nail bar, soon to be full salon, had up its sleeve.

Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical – Review
I saw the movie, upon which the theatre show is based, called “The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert” in 1994. I loved it back then and was “over the moon” when I heard that a theatrical version was made.
After a successful and triumphant run at Artscape in Cape Town, the show is now finally at Johannesburg’s Teatro at Montecasino!

Embrace Your Natural Hair With Clicks
The hair care industry worldwide is an enormous business. From products, hair stylists to appliances and hair pieces, it seems like a niche market can be found anywhere in the world, because we all need to wash our hair, right?
Usually, I leave my semi-curly hair to its own devices on the weekends, and blow it out for work on week days. Either way, my products keep changing as I experiment with what works best – a hair brand slut, of sorts.
