Sandton City Set For A Magical Festive Season

The trees are up, the lights are on, and the joyful hum of gift wrapping has begun. Sandton City, Africa’s premier shopping destination, is orchestrating a symphony of excitement to ensure this festive season surpasses all expectations.

For starters, a uniquely crafted children’s’ theatre production, Momo’s Magical Adventure, is set to enchant shoppers of all ages, this coming holiday. Shows have started in a bespoke crafted tent in the centre court outside Checkers and will run until 7 January 2024. In this heart-warming tale, Momo’s friends have left Johannesburg for the summer holidays to go to the sea and she’s the only one left in the big city. Time has passed by slowly, but Momo’s favourite night of the year has finally arrived- it’s Christmas Eve! Four live performances of this charming production will take place daily at 10.30am, 12.30pm, 3.30pm and 5.30pm, from Tuesday to Sunday. Tickets are now available on the Sandton City website and selling fast.

ABBA: The Movie – Fan Event at Ster Kinekor

Have the time of your life when ABBA: The Movie dances into cinemas for a special two-day fan event! Captured by director Lasse Hallström during the iconic group’s mega-successful tour of Australia, this newly remastered film will take you on a flashback journey to the 1970s when disco reigned supreme and ABBA was music royalty.

Including backstage footage as well as full-length performances of some of ABBA’s greatest hits including “Dancing Queen”, “SOS”, “Name Of The Game” and “Waterloo”, the film provides a rare look at the hugely successful band during the height of their popularity.

Anthony Hamilton To Perform in South Africa – Extra Show Added

Grammy Award winning R&B and soul royalty, Anthony Hamilton, will be landing on South African soil this month. In anticipation, the Up Close & Personal show at SunBet Arena in Menlyn sold out quickly, but fans have another opportunity to book tickets to the second night that was recently added – Sunday, 24 September 2023.

Ndlovu Youth Choir Announces 2023 SA Tour

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing the Ndlovu Youth Choir perform at corporate events twice before, and they are truly talented! Now you can see them live in concert!

Following on from the phenomenal sold out success of the Ndlovu Youth Choir in Concert in Johannesburg and Cape Town in 2022, local promoter Showtime Management is pleased to announce the return of Ndlovu Youth Choir for five shows only in each city. 

The Ndlovu Youth Choir’s SA Tour kicks off at Montecasino’s Teatro on Friday 25 August at 7:30pm followed by two performances on Saturday 26 August at 3pm and 7:30pm and two shows on Sunday, 27 August at 2pm and 6pm. Cape Town concerts at the Artscape take place on Friday, 13 October at 7:30pm;  Saturday, 14 October at 3pm at 7:30pm and Sunday, 15 October at 2pm and 6pm. South African singing sensation Belinda Davids returns to the Jo’burg Theatre with “The Greatest Love of All” * at the iconic Mandela Theatre from 24 August to 10 September 2023.
