Embrace Your Natural Hair at #ClicksCurls JHB

I recently had my hair highlighted, after researching and being inspired by Pinterest boards, featuring the luscious hombre locks of Jessica Alba. I really love her style, both her dress sense and her hair styles. With screen shots in hand, I headed off to my sister-in-law (@hairbyshafia) who is also my award winning hair stylist.

Here are the results, some subtle blonde highlights…

In the hot seat …

Voila!

With curly, highlighted hair, the #ClicksCurl JHB event is just the ticket to get the products I need to take care of my new colour.

I had my hair cut and coloured for a work awards event. Tsholo is my colleague.

Clicks, South Africa’s leading beauty retailer, is excited to present #ClicksCurls JHB at The Galleria, Sandton, on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 March 2018 – an expo dedicated entirely to waves, curls and coils!

Christmas at Sandton City

If you are like me, and you don’t have plans to leave Johannesburg or South Africa for the festive season, then best you check out what you can do in Jozi while everyone else is soaking up the sun on some island somewhere.

If you’re stuck here, then you may as well enjoy it – less traffic, more parking spots and better service at restaurants, not to mention all the festive fun that Sandton  City is offering.

Skip Fashion Exchange

I grew up with “hand me downs” and wearing some of my mother’s and grandmother’s clothing, bringing an authentic realness to the term “vintage”.

In fact, I still wear one or two items of clothing that belonged to my late mother, and to me, it is still stylish to this day. I’ve also swapped clothing with friends, and find nothing wrong with wearing “previously owned” clothing, as long as it is in good shape.

Enter the Skip Fashion Exchange, which takes swapping clothing to a new level. I attended the launch the other evening, at Sandton City Mall, in Johannesburg, and was eager to see what I could swap for my Mango pleated colourful skirt. (Pity that I forgot to take a photo of this skirt before I handed it in).

Embrace Your Natural Hair With Clicks

The hair care industry worldwide is an enormous business. From products, hair stylists to appliances and hair pieces, it seems like a niche market can be found anywhere in the world, because we all need to wash our hair, right?

Usually,  I leave my semi-curly hair to its own devices on the weekends, and blow it out for work on week days. Either way, my products keep changing as I experiment with what works best – a hair brand slut, of sorts.
