VÖOST is Vital

The brand and marketing team at Vital have asked me to test a new range of food/health supplements called VÖOST. I am super excited to enjoy the benefits of extra energy and that spring in my step, which as has been lacking lately, via this new funky range of vitamins and minerals.

The 5 product range, which is made in Germany, consists of Vitamin C, Vitamin B Complex, Calcium & Vitamin D, Magnesium and a Multi-Vitamin.

Over the next month or two, I will be “VÖOSTING” my way into the festive season, so check out my review post soon.

As their pay off line says, good health is Vital. So true!

“Captain” Marc Lottering takes off with new show

I first met Marc Lottering back in 2009 when I was a Producer for the SABC1 show Spirit Sundae, and I can truly say that he is as down to earth in real life as he is on stage. His latest show has an aviation theme, and the characters that he portrays are cleverly linked to this theme. “This is Captain Lottering Speaking” is currently on at the Pieter Toerien Montecasino Theatre and Studio. Mr Lottering never disappoints in the humour department, you’ll laugh so much, you’ll need tissues for the tears and smudged mascara!

Pet Shop Boys are coming to South Africa

Pet Shop Boys are one of my all time favourite bands. I know practically every song on their best of album and Domino Dancing is my ring tone. Consisting of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, the Pet Shop Boys are listed as the most successful duo in UK music history by The Guinness Book of Records, and they are heading to Mzansi!

Remember Movember for Men’s Health

It’s that time of the year again, when men grow moustaches and most of the time, that is about all that happens. Most of the people I’ve asked don’t really know what Movember is all about and the aim of growing that mo.

On the official Movember website, it states that “Movember is about bringing back the moustache (Mo), having fun and doing good to change the face of men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Mo Bros take action by changing their appearance through the growth of a new moustache for the 30 days of Movember, and in doing so become walking, talking billboards for men’s health. Mo Sistas sign up and commit to supporting the men in their lives while helping to promote men’s health at home, in the workplace and within their community.”

Review of the Sony Cyber-Shot 20.1 Mega Pixel Camera

I was given the Sony Cyber-Shot 20.1 Mega Pixel camera to review recently. After looking through the menu on the camera, which was easy enough to navigate with only a few options, I started snapping away. The camera is very simple and easy to use, and features 20.1 Mega Pixels with 5 x zoom lens. But here is the conundrum… why buy a camera, which retails for about R999, when most people nowadays have smart phones, which may not have 20.1 mega pixels, but can take really good photos nevertheless? The screen size of the Sony Cyber-Shot is also rather small in comparison to the screen size of my iPhone 5S. I took the same photo with both the Sony Cyber-Shot and my iPhone 5S and could not spot the difference in quality, even though the iPhone 5S only has 8 mega pixels.
