Following on from its local and international sold-out concerts in 2023 and early 2024 engagements abroad, the Queen: It’s a Kinda Magic tribute show returns to Joburg Theatre – but this time performing for the first time ever with a Rock Symphony Orchestra – in the iconic Mandela Theatre from 5 April to 14 April 2024. Reebok Unveils the “Back Like I Never Left” Music Video with YoungstaCPT & DJ Ready D

Reebok, the brand synonymous with sports and streetwear, has announced the launch of the much-anticipated music video for Back Like I Never Left, featuring South African legends YoungstaCPT and DJ Ready D. Premiered on 19 February, this music video is a homage to the essence of South African hip hop.

DJ Ready D shares, “Whenever YoungstaCPT and I team up to make music, we strive to pay homage to the rich history and vibrant spirit of hip-hop culture. When I produced Back Like I Never Left, ensuring this spirit permeated every element of the track was paramount.” That’s why you’ll hear Grandmaster Ready D’s iconic turntable scratches woven into the fabric of the song, representing the vital role DJs play as the backbone of hip hop.

Among the 2024 Grammy Award winners are 22-year-old South African singer Tyla who took home the first-ever Grammy for Best African Music Performance. Although up against tough competition, including Afrobeats stars Burna Boy and Davido, Tyla’s hit song “Water” proved undeniable for Grammy voters.

Lalah Hathaway’s SA Debut Headline Tour

The Intimate Evening Series, a collaboration between Liberty and leading local promoter Showtime Management, are proud to announce “An Intimate Evening with Lalah Hathaway”, a  four-concert tour presented by Liberty at Montecasino’s Teatro, Johannesburg on  Friday, 19 January and Saturday, 20 January at 8pm and a 6pm concert on Sunday, 21 January 2024.

The Cape Town concert will be at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden on Saturday, 27 January 2024 at 7pm.  Tickets are available at showtime.co.za and webtickets.co.za.
