MTN Pulse, MTN’s exclusive offering for under 25s, is thrilled to announce a new partnership with SlikourOnLife. Together, they are launching ‘MTN Pulse Virals,’ an upcoming TV show aimed at discovering the next music superstar. The show will air on Channel O & Mzansi Magic starting from December 14, 2023.

Hosted by Siya Metane, also known as Slikour, this unique music show will focus on accelerating rising online viral stars’ careers and equipping contestants with the essential business knowledge needed in the music industry. This crucial element is one that is often overlooked and can lead to even the most talented of artists’ careers faltering.

Cotton Fest Returns to Cape Town

Play Room, South Africa’s newest 24-hour Children’s TV Channel went live at 3pm on 6 November, kicking off with the channel’s flagship show, Play Room Live! – a multilingual live studio show which brings a fresh cohort of youthful talent to the screen. Presenters include Thando Madondo, Thato Benani, Paballo Koza, Shudu Mathagwa, Kgaohelo Moloi, Ipeleng Malepe and sign-language interpreter Kanya Msweli making their debuts.

Play Room will combine education and entertainment in a uniquely local package carrying original South African and popular international content, including favourite animated titles dubbed into isiZulu, such as Cocomelon and Akili and Me.
