Soweto Camp Festival

Soweto Camp Fest copyThis year’s Soweto Camp Festival is just about a month away. The event has grown in quality and entertainment since its inception in 2010. It’s hosted at Lebo’s Soweto Backpackers this Easter weekend (3 to 6 April 2015) and it’s a fun setting of music, fashion, hip hop and Soweto heritage. I was recently invited to the “Tutankhamun – His Tomb and His Treasures” exhibition, which is currently on at the newly re-vamped Silverstar Casino, in Muldersdrift, Mogale City (the old Krugersdorp). Treat yourself at Montecasino this Christmas (3)(1)

I spent my first white Christmas in Germany back in 1995, and it was truly magical. My first snow experience was at midnight in the grounds of a castle in Detmold, Germany. I also loved the Christmas markets in the town square and the smell of all those yuletide goodies to eat and drink.
