Smoking hot goodie bags add bling to XXI South African Music Awards

About 4 years ago, I attended the South African Music Awards (SAMAS) and saw first hand the massive and highly sought after goodie “bag” that the artists received. I use the term “bag” loosely as they actually received a suitcase of items. A major cell network was the sponsor that year, and the artists received a big yellow suitcase to put all the high end goodies into.

Beefcakes Illovo Review

It’s hosted at Lebo’s Soweto Backpackers this Easter weekend (3 to 6 April 2015) and it’s a fun setting of music, fashion, hip hop and Soweto heritage. The festival is a vehicle for young local entrepreneurs to expose their businesses to a large, vibrant market and has a lot of whole new fun activities including three stages, so campers will be spoiled for choice in terms of music – eg. dance hall, hip hop and house music.

Habitat for Humanity

A few years ago, when I was the Assistant Producer for Spirit Sundae (SBAC1), we featured the wonderful work done by Habitat for Humanity.

Founded in 1996, Habitat for Humanity South Africa is the national organisation of Habitat for Humanity International and part of Habitat’s Europe, Middle East and African region. Habitat South Africa is entirely self-funded and works in partnership with all stakeholders to serve the poor and marginalised in our country. Based on the firm belief that decent shelter provides the greatest opportunity for families to break the cycle of poverty, Habitat works with all people to give a hand up in building homes, communities and hope.
