Panier des Sens Launches in South Africa

I recently attended the launch of luxury French brand Panier des Sens, at the gorgeous LUEUR Wellness Spa in Parkmore, Sandton in Johannesburg. Lush, exquisite and truly French, can best describe the event, set in a tropical looking garden filled with Panier des Sens (meaning basket of the senses) products around every corner.

Inspired by the natural resources of France and old Mediterranean know-how, the company creates perfumes, soaps, luxurious creams and oils as well as candles and home fragrances , all of which magnify the beauty of Provence in the south of France. Now South Africans can get a taste, or rather indulge in the botanical fragrance of France, right here!

The “who’s who” of Johannesburg society was in attendance, including Danny K and his wife Lisa Koppel, Lala Tuku, Johanna Mukoki, Kerishnie Naiker, Peta Eggierth-Symes, Nadia Nakai, Kelly Khumalo, Kim Jade, Tamara Dey, Jonathan Boynton-Lee and Craig Jacobs along with many Bloggers and Influencers, who were doing Instagram and TikTok LIVE videos.

Over the past 20 years, Panier des Sens has developed its product with master soap makers from Marseille and master Parfumiers from Grasse, utilising their artisanal skills and unique know-how.

The natural and vegan formulas are designed and conceived in Provence, always encouraging short circuits and local partnerships. These natural and organic products have rich textures and delicate
fragrances all carefully formulated and constantly reworked offering a minimum of 95% ingredients of natural origin.

Using centuries of artisanal know-how and traditional methods, combining sophisticated formulations that not only benefit the skin but highly developed and evolved fragrances and essential oils that nurture
the mind. Utilising sustainable farming methods, and presenting itself in beautifully curated eco-packaging, Panier des Sens is brand that looks to the past while caring for our future.

Catherine Constantinides and Craig Jacobs were announced as the Panier des Sens Brand Ambassadors, which made complete sense since both are eco-warriors. Constantinides is an Environmentalist and Climate Activist while Jacobs is known for his sustainable and ethically designed fashion line called Fundudzi.

Guests were treated to a hand massage where some of the Panier des Sens products could be sampled. My favourite was the grape fragrance, as well as the Verbena, which has a lush lemon scent.

Sweet treats were abundant on the harvest table, with cakes that looked too beautiful to eat, but tasted equally good once cut, with carrot cake (my favourite!) for the filling.

Panier des Sens products really smell sensational, with Orange Blossom being my favourite!
