Gregory Porter’s Love is King Tour in South Africa

One of the greatest voices of our generation, eight-time nominee and two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning jazz vocalist Gregory Porter is coming back to South Africa later this year to thrill local fans with a three-city arena concert tour. 

Presented by Showtime Management and GRIZA Enterprises, the Love is King SA 2025 Tour begins at GrandWest, Cape Town on Saturday, 12 November followed by DP World Wanderers Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, 15 November and closing at Durban’s ICC on 19 November.  Concerts begin at 20h00.  Tickets on sale at 9am on Thursday, 24 July 2025 at www.showtime.co.za or www.ticketmaster.co.za

The Gregory Porter Love is King SA 2025 Tour is proudly partnered with regional radio stations KFM in Cape Town, 947 in Johannesburg and East Coast Radio in Durban.

Holding Back The Years: 40 Years of Simply Red – Live from Santiago captures the band’s electrifying performance at the Movistar Arena in Chile, where they played five consecutive sold-out shows to rapturous audiences as part of their Latin American tour leg, which saw them perform to over 140,000 fans.

Mzansi Life and Style Meets …. DJ Doowap

For South African DJ, performer, and entrepreneur Doowap, music wasn’t just a dream—it was destiny. Raised in a household where creativity thrived, she was surrounded by the sounds of iconic Kwaito acts and the energy of 90s nightlife, thanks to her parents’ ownership of legendary Johannesburg nightclubs like Morgan’s and Insomnia.

“I’ve had such a magical life already—it’s like a movie,” she says, reflecting on her early exposure to artists like Boom Shaka and TKZee. That passion for music, however, took a few detours before becoming her full-time path. Initially a springboard diver representing South Africa, Doowap later moved to Canada and the UK, where she immersed herself in underground music scenes. It was during this time that she discovered Academy of Sound Engineering (ASE) and started studying sound engineering —a decision that would prove pivotal.

“ASE stood out because their team had such a big footprint in the industry,” she explains. “They weren’t just teaching—many of them were working professionals. That meant real-world exposure, which is so important.”
