“Only Murders in the Building” Season 3 on Disney+

The much anticipated third season of “Only Murders in the Building” (the Emmy®-nominated series) premieres on 8 August 2023 with two episodes, only on Disney+ in South Africa.

From the minds of Steve Martin, Dan Fogelman and John Hoffman comes a comedic murder-mystery series for the ages. “Only Murders in the Building” follows three strangers who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, the three unravel the complex secrets of the building which stretch back years. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell one another. Soon, the endangered trio comes to realize a killer might be living amongst them as they race to decipher the mounting clues before it’s too late.

Leading local show promoter and producer, Showtime Management, is bringing iconic author and creator of Sex and The City, Candace Bushnell, to South Africa in her acclaimed one-woman show “True Tales of Sex, Success and Sex in the City” for four special performances in both Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Starting at Montecasino’s Teatro on Friday, 22 September at 8pm followed by weekend performances on  Saturday 23 September at 3pm & 8pm and Sunday 24 September at 3 pm; thereafter the show then moves to Artscape Theatre Centre for four shows beginning on Friday 29 September at 8pm; Saturday to 30 September at 3pm and 8pm ending on Sunday 01 October at 3pm. Celebrity Prank Wars on E! Africa

Kevin Hart and Nick Cannon take their famous friendly feud to the next level with E!’s hilarious new competition series Celebrity Prank Wars, premiering 2 July at 19:05 SAST on E! Africa (DStv channel 124).

It’s an all-out war as one celebrity pranks another, and the payback begins. Each episode will feature celebrities planning and perpetrating some of the wildest and most viral pranks on each other, as hosts Nick Cannon and Kevin Hart choose one winner of the Prank War. Celebrities are always trying to up the ante as each prank is more elaborate than the next – all of them with unexpected twists, embarrassing situations and shocking reveals. E! Africa’s “Celebrity Game Night” comes to Universal+ this April

Entertainment Television (NBCUniversal International Networks & Direct-To-Consumer’s global, multi-platform brand dedicated to all things pop culture) has announced the launch date and star-studded lineup for the highly-anticipated return of its original production in Africa: Celebrity Game Night. The fourth installment of the SAFTA award-winning series will be available on Universal+ immediately after airing weekly on E! Africa (DStv channel 124) from Sunday, 23 April 2023 at 19:00 CAT.

Based on the Primetime Emmy Award-winning series Hollywood Game Night, Anele Mdoda returns to host Africa’s biggest games night with 10 one-hour episodes promising uncontrollable laughter and non-stop hilarity. “Only Murders in the Building” Season 2 on Disney+

I watched Season 1 of “Only Murders in the Building” on Disney+ and was totally hooked after episode 1. Starring comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short, as well as Selena Gomez, it’s about three strangers who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves caught up in one.

The new season returns on Tuesday 28th June 2022 with two episodes exclusively on Disney+ under the Star banner in South Africa.

Following the shocking death of Arconia Board President Bunny Folger, Charles (Steve Martin, “Father Of The Bride”), Oliver (Martin Short, “The Morning Show”) & Mabel (Selena Gomez, “The Dead Don’t Die”), race to unmask her killer. However, three (unfortunate) complications ensue – the trio is publicly implicated in Bunny’s homicide, they are now the subjects of a competing podcast and they have to deal with a bunch of New York neighbours who all think they committed murder.

“Only Murders in the Building” hails from co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman (“Grace & Frankie,” “Looking”). Martin and Hoffman executive produce along with Martin Short, Selena Gomez, “This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal.

Robust parental controls ensure that Disney+ remains a suitable viewing experience for everyone in the family. Subscribers can set access limits on mature content and create PIN protected profiles, alongside the already existing Kid Profiles, to give parents and guardians peace of mind.
