E! Entertainment Television (DStv channel 124), NBCUniversal International Network’s pop culture channel, announced Katleho Sinivasan as the winner of the reality competition series The Search: E! Host South Africa and the new E! South Africa host. The winner was revealed in the last episode of the six-part series and live at an exclusive event in Johannesburg on March 8, whose attendees included South Africa’s biggest names in the entertainment industry.

Debonairs Pizza Celebrates 25 Years and 600th Store Opening

In 1991, two students from Pietermaritzburg, in KwaZulu Natal, decided to start Debonairs Pizza. Now, 25 years on, the South African franchise is celebrating the opening of its 600th store, in Botshabelo near Bloemfontein, in the Free State, on 28 November 2016.

With summer upon us, there is no excuse not to have some quality time outdoors, with family and friends, while enjoying a delicious Debonairs Pizza. After all, they invented the Triple-Decker® and the Crammed-Crust®.

Starbucks Opens In Johannesburg

Mzansi Life & Style was recently invited to the opening of the first Starbucks store in South Africa. Now, if you watch any American movie or TV series, this is by far the most commonly used coffee shop reference. It has taken a while to get to our shores, but like Krispy Kreme and Burger King before that, coffee addicts can finally get their paws on the real deal.

I am originally from Athlone in Cape Town, and grew up in a community where people of all faiths live, work, play and eat together. When I relocated to Johannesburg in 2003, some of that changed, and new opportunities and doors opened, but that is a blog post for another day. I was so glad to hear about the Newtown Junction Cape Malay Experience, which brings the vibrant and colourful history of the Cape to Jozi! Best of all, it is organised by my sister-in-law, and entrepreneur extraordinaire, Rayana Edwards, who is also the founder of Sari for Change.
