Showmax and HBO gave me access to the first 6 episodes of The White Lotus season 3, and here’s my sneak peek review without giving away any spoilers!
‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 transports us to the breathtaking landscapes of Thailand, with its luxurious resorts and postcard-perfect beaches setting the stage for another round of satire, scandal, and social commentary. Known for its razor-sharp take on wealth, privilege, and human nature, the show once again crafts a slow-burning mystery filled with power plays, unexpected alliances, and darkly comedic twists.
If you are a fan of the series, you’ll already know that each starts with a death, and the series then unfolds as an intriguing “who done it and why.”
This season’s ensemble cast brings serious star power. Michelle Monaghan (from Mission: Impossible) adds intensity, while Jason Isaacs (from Harry Potter) delivers his signature gravitas. Natasha Rothwell reprises her role as Belinda, bringing back the heart and humor fans loved in Season 1. With new and returning faces, expect sharp performances that elevate the tension and intrigue. I particulary liked Parker Posey as the wife of Jason Isaacs and her comedic timing.
As always, ‘The White Lotus’ blends luxury with dysfunction, proving that paradise is never as perfect as it seems. Fans of high-stakes drama, biting humor, and beautifully shot storytelling are in for another unforgettable season.
Season 3 starts on Showmax on Monday, 17 February in South Africa, and you can watch the first 2 seasons on Showmax as well.
