A Magical Media Night with Mo Magic

website

I first heard about Mo Magic when my husband was working on a show called “Holiday Swap” about 3 years ago, and Mo was a contestant. I was told about his “mind magic tricks” and spoon bending, so I was well intrigued when I got an invite to the media launch, which we attended last night. We all need a bit of magical delight in our lives, now and again, so this was welcomed.

The one and a half hour show kept the audience glued to Mo’s nimble magician fingers, trying to figure out his tricks. Audience participation made up a big part of the evening and everyone was enthusiastic. The entertaining session consists of a bit of witty banter and array of magic (both traditional and mentalism). Personally, the mentalism works better for me – a combination of NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) and being really good a reading body language.

Mo has an honours degree in electronic engineering, but resigned from a lucrative career as a project manager, in 2010, to pursue his passion for the art of magic. The magician says, “2015 brought with it the realisation of my dream – to share the art of magic with South Africans regularly on TV, taking it to them in their homes. During 2016, I planned to take the art of magic to people in their towns and cities to experience live.”

The magician’s ambitious nation wide tour makes history in that this is the first time a South African magician will tour the country with a theatre show, combining magic, mentalism and comedy. The show will then travel internationally.
