I discovered the lovely Rachel Khoo on BBC Lifestyle about a year ago. I watched her show called “The Little Paris Kitchen” and the one currently on air in South Africa, “Rachel Khoo Kitchen Notebook: London.” The concept of the former show is cooking classic, yet easy, French recipes no matter what the size of your kitchen, and true to its namesake, Rachel’s kitchen was minute, but what delightful looking dishes were created in that little mini oven and two plate stove!

In the current series, Rachel is back in her hometown of London, and takes us to her favourite places in and around the British capital, in between cooking up a delicious storm in her tiny flat.

Launch of New Lays Deli Kettle Cooked Chips

Last week, I attended the official launch of Lays Deli kettle cooked chips at Urban Tree in Sandton. Now, I’ve always been a fan of Lays, preferring it to other brands of chips. And when I saw this new kettle fried version, in a variety of flavours, in the grocery store a few weeks ago, I was filled with ambrosial delight.

So, when I was invited to attend the launch of the new Lays Deli kettle cooked chips, I was pleasantly surprised and excited. A pretty basket arrived, filled with an array of the new Lays flavours, together with a Soy Lites scented candle and a variety of oils.

Save the date for the Le Kap Lifestyle Fair (on 8 and 9 November 2013)

Now and again one should take some time to spoil oneself. It can be as simple as having a manicure and pedicure or lavish like treating yourself to a spa day at the Saxon Hotel. The innovative new fair kicks off with a VIP Gala Dinner on Friday evening, 8^th of November, also available to the public, featuring Bertus Basson, PJ Vadas and some of South Africa’s most sought after wines.

Launch of 3Sixty Liquid Lounge at Montecasino

Montecasino was abuzz last Thursday night with the launch of its newest, exquisite restaurant called 3Sixty Liquid Lounge.

We were greeted by ladies dressed like butterflies and welcome drinks, and then lead to our tables by very helpful staff.

Keep Calm and Carry On

It seems like the “Keep Calm and Carry On” theme is now on everything. Personally, I love the clean design and the fact that you can create your own “Keep Calm” artwork and slogans.

I found this Keep Calm and Carry On mug at my local Mr Price Home Store at World Wear, Johannesburg for only R15.99. A real bargain if you ask me!
