If you are into running, fun and being lit up like a Christmas tree, then the Neon Run is right up your alley, and this year, it takes place in Pretoria on Saturday the 15th of November 2014, powered by 5FM. This neon-extravaganza takes place at Supersport Park and will see participants run, walk, cycle or skate a 5km route at night, covered in neon accessories and body paint.

Join thousands of energetic runners, joggers, cyclists, skateboarders and walkers all decked out in neon paraphernalia and manoeuvre through an exciting route of glow stations before celebrating at the post-race party with a dazzling laser light show and a line-up of some of South Africa’s top DJs and musicians.

Gates open at 15h00 with music throughout the event. 5FM DJs Roger Goode, Poppy and Rob Forbes are guaranteed to get your pulse racing and the party started and if you’re into live performances, then you’re in for a treat with two local chart-toppers, Shortstraw and Beatenberg performing on the night as well.

Although the race only starts at 18h30, you’re encouraged to get there early so that you don’t miss a minute of the exciting line-up.

The cost is R230 per person, under 11s pay R90,  and if four people or more book, then the price is R190 a person. Ticket prices include all entertainment as well as a glow stick and head band. Tickets available at www.quicket.co.za
