Now that the festive season has come to an end, the BACK TO SCHOOL buying madness has started. I’ve noticed that Woolworths now has a wonderful range of stationery. I first saw this in the V & A Waterfront (Cape Town) branch a while back, and the range is now available at the Sandton City (Johannesburg) branch.
Below are some photos of their stationery. I particularly like the velvet wrapped pencils.
For those of you who may not know, I am a stationery fanatic. I simply adore beautiful pens, notebooks, pencils and all sorts of writing utensils. I collect pens and notebooks of all shapes and sizes, the quirkier the better.
The Woolworths prices are also very reasonable. Compared to Moleskine notebooks that cost around R150 for the A5 version, the Woolies version cost R33.95, and the colourful velvet covered pencils cost around R15 for a pack of 6.
Talking about quirky stationery, you have to check out the Knock Knock website. I first heard about them when the owner was a speaker at the annual Design Indaba conference, about 2 years back. Now there are knock offs of Knock Knock stationery! Below are some examples of these knock offs available from Clicks stores for around R20. I find them hilarious!
Happy writing!
