How often do you hear the following question: “What’s for dinner?” I hear it everyday and cringe at the thought. So I was pleasantly surprised when the Daily Dish contacted me to review their service.
This is how it works:
Log onto www.dailydish.co.za and select a menu. At present, they have 5 menus to choose from: Classic, Low Carb, Vegetarian, Budget and Pork Free. The nifty novelty about the Daily Dish, is that they send you the recipe cards (printed on high quality A4 glossy paper) as well as the exact measured ingredients that are needed for the dishes. I am a firm believer that, if you can read and follow instructions, then you can cook. And this is the basis of Daily Dish.
I selected the vegetarian menu to review, and it was delivered to me on a Monday, which is when all deliveries take place. So you have 4 recipes, essentially, 4 dinners. My recipes were Thai Green Curry, Mac & Cheese, Mücver Mediterranean Meze and Lentil Casserole.
Here are some photos of the Thai Green Curry and Mac & Cheese.
I also love that they delivered the items in a sturdy box with ice packs underneath and on the sides of the box.
The service is available in selected suburbs in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria. You choose the number of portions/plates you’d like – either 2 or 4. Menus change every week. You can try the service out for a week or leave the subscription to roll until you want to pause it. You control your subscription via a PAUSE button on the website. There is no contract, and you can change menu (or portions) every week too, if you like.
GIVEAWAY
I have 1 Daily Dish box (any menu for 2 or 4 people) valued at R1000.00 – depending on which box you choose – to give away.
