Decorex Durban kicked off yesterday (21 March) at the Durban Exhibition Centre and runs until Sunday (25 March) and here’s 5 reasons why you don’t want to miss this year’s show.

1. More designers, more features: 17 of the region’s top interior and landscape designers in one space as well as an array of new and popular curated features which include:

Designer Spotlight

@home Trend Home presented by Decorex

Rooms to Grow

Franke Kitchen Trends Project

#withlovefromdecorex

Design Elements

Lighting Elements

Natural Elements

Landscaping feature

EGO Garden of the Future brought to you by Smith Power Equipment

2. Plascon’s 2018 stand reveal: Yup that’s right, Decorex SA headline sponsor, Plascon, will be revealing an all new concept stand at Decorex Durban which will give visitors expert insight into the importance of colour choice and related cognitive effects.

3. She Sheds: Placing women in the spotlight, this exciting feature will focus on women’s design needs. Four designers and four local celebrities will be curating the ultimate female sanctuary, echoing the Man Cave moment from previous years. The ultimate aim of this enticing feature is to raise funds for PinkDrive with public votes driving the fundraising initiative. To increase awareness, the Decorex team will lend its support by wearing pink ribbons throughout the show and each designer will incorporate a touch of pink into the She Shed colour scheme.

4. Calling all foodies – it’s a mouthful but here’s what you in for: From sweet to savory, food to drink, Decorex Durban has you covered – Roast Co. (slow-roasted lamb, marinated chickens, pulled pork and brisket), The Rhythm Eatery (some of the best local food trucks), Gourmet Cooking Theatre (cooking tips and kitchen design trends all in one space), The Secret Gin Bar (craft gin and professional mixologists), The Tasting Room Wine Bar (enviable range of local and international vintages with live music by DJ Lau Lau) and The Coffee Cup by Illy Caffé (light snack or warm beverage, they have you covered).

5. All the latest décor, design and lifestyle trends under one roof – you will find your #rhythmoflife: You can view the latest trends and décor items in beautiful room settings, from bedrooms to bathrooms and more! The 2018 show theme ‘Rhythm of Life’ will connect all details of the exhibition – colours, design, fabrics and inspiration will open a path of harmonious creativity suited to each individual’s rhythm. You will leave feeling inspired to be ‘on trend’ in your own space.
